Steel masts for cameras

Camera Masts
3–40 Metres

Many construction sites are open ground with no building nearby to mount a camera on. We put up steel masts from 3 to 40 metres with our own crew, so the camera gets a high view of the whole site.

Engineer certification is available on request, and for standard masts we carry out a soil test as well.

  • 3 to 40 metres

Height chosen to suit the site, from a short mast to forty metres.

  • Engineer-certified on request

For projects that need the mast signed off as safe.

  • Soil test

A standard mast starts with testing the ground before the footing is designed.

Watch a mast go up

From the footing, through assembling and raising the sections, to the camera at the top — all by our own crew.

Why a mast

The camera position decides the whole film

Open ground, nowhere to mount

Out-of-town sites, factories and warehouses are mostly open land with no building or high point nearby. Without a mast, the camera ends up somewhere that cannot see the whole job.

A wide site needs height

A job that spreads sideways for hundreds of metres has to be seen from above to fit one frame. The mast height is settled on the survey.

One climb, at installation

Once it is up, the frames from the camera at the top come to the office over the internet — live view and downloads, with nobody climbing up for them again.

A tall building next door can do the job

Where a tall building stands near the project, we arrange to use or rent space on a roof whose owner allows a camera, instead of putting up a mast.

From our own work: the roof of the Shama hotel, where our camera recorded the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) for three years, and the roof of King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital, where it recorded the Dusit project for more than five years.

Fitted in full safety gear

The crew mounts the camera up the mast in harnesses and lanyards.

Mast, camera and solar together

Where there is no power yet, the camera enclosure and its solar panel go up the same mast.

Common questions

Questions about camera masts

Can we hire a mast without the camera service?

Yes. If you need a tall mast for your own camera or equipment, get in touch — we will survey the site and propose the height and type of mast that suits it.

And if you mean to put up your own camera to record construction progress, it is worth seeing first what a system run from the office can do.

How tall can it go?

We supply masts from 3 to 40 metres. The right height depends on the size of the site and the view wanted, which we decide together on the survey.

Is the mast certified?

Engineer certification is available on request, and for standard masts we carry out a soil test so the footing is designed for the ground that is actually there.

What does it cost?

It depends on the height, the type of mast, the ground and the site itself, so we survey first and then quote against what is really there.

Next step

Arrange a site survey

Tell us where the site is, what view you need and for how long. We will come and see it, then propose the height and type of mast. We work anywhere in Thailand.
